Straight leg bridge
Equipment Needed
Open floor or yoga mat
Instructions for the straight legged bridge:
- Lie flat on your back with feet together
- Point your toes down, drawing your heels slightly closer to your body
- Tuck your shoulders close to your spine and engage your core
- Press your heels and shoulders into the ground, lifting your hips into the air
- Hold for the prescribed amount of time then return to the starting position
Common Error
Not engaging your core prior to the movement.

If this is too challenging:
- Placing a foam roller under your heels will make the position easier
If you want more of a challenge:
- Try holding a light weight on your pelvis
