Is an Injury Holding you back?

Every day you walk into the gym and feel anxious as you approach the whiteboard.

“Will I be able to do this workout today?”

“Please be something I don’t have to scale.”

You exercise because you know you should. It feels good, mostly, but there’s still things that just aren’t right.

Maybe your back hurts after deadlifts or perhaps it’s your shoulder after pressing or pull ups.

You keep showing up to see friends and because it should be helping but…

Your Active Life Doesn’t feel like it should

Since you’re here I bet you’re looking for answers.

But maybe you…

        • Aren’t sure how to help yourself
        • Have tried going to healthcare providers but they don’t seem to “get” you
        • Have tried other things with varying results, but nothing seems to stick

It’s time to stop doubting yourself and get specific about your needs

Does this sound familiar?

You know that you need to do something different. More mobility work or more core work, maybe?

SInce you aren’t completely sure you try every possible thing all at once but it never seems to work.

You fail, lose motivation, and quit.

Now you’re right back where you started, or worse. You feel even more defeated and lost because you failed.

We’ve helped a lot of people in this exact situation.

This isn’t just a “do the right exercises” problem. It’s a make a better system problem.

At Mission MVMT We Believe a few things

    1. Every person should be able to help themselves prevent and bounce back from injury
    2. Most problems require simple solutions. Not flashy gimmicks that you see on Instagram but real, actionable, answers
    3. Most issues shouldn’t require an inconvenient office visit and could be done at your own convenience
    4. Moving better means you feel better in every aspect of your life.
We think that there is a better way to be healthy. Our healthcare system isn’t really set up to help you get better. That’s why we want to help you take matters into your own hands.

Some Groups We’ve Helped

It was difficult not being able to run which is what I needed to be focusing on at the time but gradually I was able to do the weekly exercises with less and less pain and could feel improvement.

Running still sucks but it’s pain free 🙂

Our Origin

Mission MVMT was founded because of people like you. We saw so many people who were dead set on health but kept hitting hang-ups along the way. Athletes kept asking us the same questions that weren’t being answered at their doctor’s office or physical therapy clinic.

If our clients and patients had all these questions then we are sure you do too.

We cut our teeth with collegiate athletes and military operators to bring you the best of what we’ve learned. Humans of all shapes and sizes need the same things. Regardless of your level of athleticism you still need to be able to pick things up off the ground safely and move all the joints in your body with proper control. These simple tasks dramatically affect your function and your pain.

Mission MVMT was founded by Ian Elwood in 2018 after seeing how the healthcare system has let down so many people who just want to live more functional, active lives. Javier Melgarejo joined shortly after. The two of us have worked together for years at various military facilities until we decided to “go pro.”

Now we hope to help you figure out how to move better, reduce pain, and get back to whatever level of physical performance you want to.
